Controller and contact
Intrellus LTD (Company No. 16484236, England and Wales) controls KickLingo account, learning and creator information. Send privacy enquiries and rights requests to privacy@kicklingo.com.
Information we use
We retain essential account identifiers, chosen public profile details, language and accessibility preferences, access entitlements, creator content, lesson progress, saved items, scores and necessary support records. These remain personal data. Speaking recordings are processed only when you submit a recording; location access requires an explicit choice.
Payment details stay with Stripe
Card numbers, security codes, bank account details and payout identity documents are collected through Stripe-hosted services, not KickLingo forms. KickLingo retains necessary Stripe identifiers, purchase amounts, statuses and access records for reconciliation, support and legal obligations. Do not submit payment credentials through profiles, imports, gift messages or support.
Purposes and lawful bases
We process account, lesson and subscription information to perform our contract; service security, integrity, improvement and creator reporting for legitimate interests; statutory records for legal obligations; and optional location, non-essential storage or marketing with consent. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
Sharing and international transfers
Information is shared only as necessary with identity, hosting, storage, language, media, payment, support and safety providers, or authorities where legally required. For transfers outside the UK we use applicable adequacy regulations or approved safeguards and transfer risk assessments.
Retention
Account and learning records support the active service. Essential purchase references and accounting records may need to be retained for applicable legal obligations. Ask privacy@kicklingo.com for access or erasure; deletion is subject to those obligations. Infrastructure logs and backups can have separate retention periods. We do not claim that KickLingo stores no personal data.
Your rights
Depending on the lawful basis, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, object to processing, or withdraw consent. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. KickLingo does not use solely automated decisions that create legal or similarly significant effects.
Children, microphone and location
Under-18 profiles use high privacy by default. Precise location is off by default and profiles are not publicly discoverable. Browser permission is required before microphone or location access; microphone access starts only for a speaking exercise and stops when recording ends.
